Booth: You remember what I told you about the general I shot in Ex-Yugoslavia?Brennan: I remember that you told me that he was responsible for killing a whole village and that he was about to do it again when you shot him at a birthday party in front of his son.

Booth: The general’s name was Radic. The person who wrapped the box of bones in paper was Dajan Radic. The bones in the box were buried between 1991 and 1996 in or around Srebrenica, exactly where and when General Radic conducted his ethnical cleansing. They were found now at the front steps to your office in the possession of a man of Bosnian ethnic origin who was murdered. I don’t believe in coincidences. You were right when you said that the murderer might have meant to leave me a message.

Brennan: You mean, the son came to kill the murderer of his father?Booth: Or to hurt the murderer of his father like the murderer hurt him – by killing the persons most important to him in the world: his wife and unborn child.

Brennan: But he is wrong!

Booth: Because you are not my wife?

Brennan: Because you are not a murderer.

Booth: Am I not?
