Yes I know, they aren’t gone – yet. But due to rising sea levels due to climate change the island paradise could be completely submerged by 2085. As do other areas on our planet like Bangladesh, home to millions, where today already people live in trees because the ground they once lived on is covered with water. Or Venice. Or the Netherlands. Or like about every East Coast City in the US. But as the recent case of VW proves or the out of control wildfires in Indonesia that make the air in-breathable all the way to mainland Asia, we still value money more than the earth we live from.
